It is ideally located 1km off the N2 Highway between Pongola and Mkuze at the T-junction to Golela. Tamboti Ridge Ranch is an established sugar and game farm situated in the peaceful beauty of the Northern KwaZulu Natal bushveld. It is an ideal stop over point when travelling between Johannesburg, Kruger National Park or Swaziland and the Zululand Resorts such as Sodwana Bay, Kosi bay, St.Lucia and Hluhluwe and Mfolozi Reserves or Southern Mozambique Resorts such as Ponto Du Ouro. ACCOMMODATIONOur cottage has four bedrooms, all with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Each room is en-suite with a bath and shower. The spacious rooms lead out onto a wooden deck where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. We have an attractive satellite TV lounge and a separate dining area although wholesome farm-style breakfasts are served in the family homestead. We operate on a Bed & Breakfast basis. We also operate on a self-catering basis with a fully equipped kitchen and braai area. DINNERDinner can be arranged by prior booking at our up market game lodge, Shayamoya, where you can enjoy the dramatic views and camaraderie at the bar. We serve a 4-course meal in the Bundu Pot restaurant, or a traditional braai outdoor at the Boma. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONSGuests enjoy relaxing under the beautiful trees listening to the variety of birdcalls. The more energetic enjoy swimming lengths in the large pool, which is situated next to the braai area, or taking a walk around the ranch. Our property is adjacent to the Pongola Nature Reserve and the Pongolapoort Lake. It is the only water in South Africa where these ferocious fighting game fish are found. Bring your own boats and tackle the challenge! Depending on availability, guests may take part in activities which Shayamoya Tiger Fishing and Game Lodge conduct - Game drives, sundowner boat cruises, tiger fishing, elephant monitoring, rhino tracking or canoeing. |

DIRECTIONS: When travelling North from Durban: Pass the towns of Empangeni, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe, 39km past Mkuze, turn left onto our farm road 200m after Golela/Swaziland road. Travel along this road for 1,5km until you reach our homestead. It is clearly signposted from the N2. When travelling South from Johannesburg: The route is the N17 to Bethal, through Ermelo, Piet Retief, 27km past Pongola, turn right onto our farm road 200m before the Golela/Swaziland road. Travel along this road for 1,5km until you reach our homestead. It is clearly signposted from the N2. When traveling South from Kruger Park, Crocodile Bridge: The quickest route is through Swaziland using the Mananga, border post. Continue south towards Big Bend, to Lavumisa border post. From here, travel for 10 km into KwaZulu Natal, until you reach the N2 highway. At this T-junction, turn right for only a couple of meters and then you will see the entrance on your left handside.
