A beautiful indigenous garden, with it’s abundance of birdlife surrounds the home, creating a peaceful country atmosphere. Shenindor is situated just outside Hillcrest, midway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, convenient for Comrades Marathon runners, close to the Valley of 1000 Hills and Kearsney College and just 5 km from the Durban Shongweni Club. There is easy access onto the N3 and M13 Freeways. FacilitiesFacilities include, well appointed en-suite and self catering accommodation, a comfortable lounge with open fireplace, dining room, large patio, outdoor breakfast area and a heated swimming pool. No country home is complete without the animals, so expect a warm welcome and lots of love from the Labradors and Cats. AccommodationLuxury Suite This spacious double bedroom with queen bed, opens onto a private balcony offering a panoramic view across the valley. The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower & spa bath. This suite is favoured by Honeymoon couples. Family Suite Two bedrooms, one single & one double, separated by a bathroom with bath and overhead shower and a separate toilet. Self Contained Cottage This cottage is very comfortable for two people and opens out onto the garden next to the pool. It consists of one bedroom, which has a queen-size bed or two singles, open plan lounge / dining / kitchen area and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. A sleeper couch in the lounge can accommodate 2 children. It is fully equipped for self catering. All suites offer complimentary tea/coffee facilities with their own kettles; bar fridges in the luxury suite and cottage; heaters and fans; TV’s in all suites (SABC and E), plus in the main lounge with M-Net and DVD; fax and laundry services are available. There is plenty of parking and two carports. Self Catering Suite This luxurious self contained suite has two spacious bedrooms with Kind beds, en-suite bathrooms with showers, a comfortable lounge, kitchen and a large balcony with a panoramic view across the Assagay Valley. Attractions & ActivitiesSituated close to the Valley of 1000 Hills, there is a wide variety of Zulu cultural activities, curio shops, scenic drives and nature reserves to be enjoyed in the area, plus tours into the valley, snake and crocodile parks and animal farms. Hillcrest offers a good selection of top class restaurants and pubs, as well as exciting shopping opportunities! Both Inanda and Shongweni Dams and Nature Reserves are within easy reach offering fishing, canoeing, birding, horse riding and hiking with the opportunity of seeing a variety of game. Abseiling, Microlight flights, paragliding can be enjoyed at various locations or a round of golf at Camelot, Kloof or Augusta. Within one to three hours drive one can experience the majestic mountains of the Drakensberg Range, the KwaZulu Natal countryside on the Midlands Meander, the “big five” at the Zululand Game Parks or the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and South Africa’s beautiful coastline! |

DIRECTIONS: From Durban International Airport Travel north along the N2. At the Spaghetti Junction take the N3 towards Pietermaritzburg. Take the M13 Alternate Route after the Pavilion Shopping Centre. Take Exit 33 Assagay, Shongweni, Hillcrest offramp. Turn right. This will take you onto Kassier Road. Turn left onto R103 Old Main Road at the traffic lights. Continue straight along Old Main Road towards Botha’s Hill & travel for approx 5 kms (past Kearsney College, Dunrobin Nursery & Rob Roy Hotel). Continue for half a kilometer from “ Phezulu Safari Park” then turn left onto a dirt road to Alverstone. Cross the railway line & travel up the hill, approx 1km. At the sharp right hand bend, go left into Falcon Drive & continue for half a km to Shenindor on the left hand side. From Johannesburg Take the N3 east towards Durban. After Cato Ridge take Exit 33 Assagay, Shongweni, Hillcrest offramp. Turn left, This will take you onto Kassier Road. Turn left onto R103 Old Main Road at the traffic lights. Continue straight along Old Main Road towards Botha’s Hill & travel for approx 5 kms (past Kearsney College, Dunrobin Nursery & Rob Roy Hotel).
