We offer four star self-catering accommodation for the holidaymaker, business person or just a weekend getaway. Just walk across the road and savour an uncrowded beach, were you can have a leisurely stroll, a romantic picnic, sunbathe, or a refreshing sundowner. You can fish in the ocean, surf, canoe or even learn to kite surf! AccommodationSeaside Cottage 1 Is a self catering family unit, which can accommodate from one to six people. The unit is on one level. The unit has an air-conditioner in the lounge area, as well as in the main bedroom. There is a king size bed in the main bedroom. There are two sets of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort, in the open plan lounge area. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is also safe, a colour TV, full DSTV, a DVD player, and a mini hi-fi/radio/CD player. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 1 has a garden with a covered patio area and Weber braai. We offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the cottages / units are serviced three times a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except public holidays). Other / extra days for servicing the unit can be arranged, at an additional cost. Seaside Cottage 2 Is a self catering unit and can accommodate from one to six people. This is a double storey unit. The unit has two bedrooms upstairs, with 2 single beds pushed together to make a king size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. There is a double sleeper couch downstairs. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is a safe, a colour TV, and full DSTV. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 2 has a covered patio area and Webber braai. We offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the cottages / units are serviced three times a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except public holidays). Other / extra days for servicing the unit can be arranged, at an additional cost. Seaside Cottage 3 Can accommodate from one to two people. This small, quaint unit has aircon, a microwave, bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities, an electric frying pan, but NO cooking facilities. There is a colored TV with full DSTV. There is a king size bed, and the "bathroom" is a shower, toilet and hand basin. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. We offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the cottages / units are serviced three times a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except public holidays). Other / extra days for servicing the unit can be arranged, at an additional cost. Seaside Cabin Is a basic rustic wooden structure, with its own private sundeck and sleeps a maximum of 2 people. This unit is our “backpackers” (budget) unit and is suitable for younger or the more adventurous guests. The beds are a set of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort. It has tea/coffee facilities, but NO cooking facilities. It has a fan, a microwave and a family size fridge. There is a colored TV with full DSTV channels. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. (NOT en-suite) We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. We offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the cottages / units are serviced three times a week; Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (except public holidays). Other / extra days for servicing the unit can be arranged, at an additional cost. All units have been tastefully decorated and we can accommodate a total of sixteen guests. LocationSeaside Cottage is close to the main access roads, 20 minutes from King Shaka International Airport, 5-10 minutes from the Point Waterfront, Ushaka Marine World, Suncoast Casino, Durban City Centre, The International Convention Centre (ICC) Umhlanga Village, Umhlanga Ridge Office Park, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the 2nd largest in the world and the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, Sibiya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom, the Moses Mabhida Soccer Stadium and the ABSA Rugby Stadium, 5 minutes from Virginia Airport, 5 - 8 minutes from Beachwood Golf Course and 10-12 minutes from Durban Country Club. We are in close proximity to a variety of tourist attractions, great restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, restaurants and other shops, as well as Virgin Active Gym. The beautiful Drakensberg Mountains offer skiing, quad tours up and down Sani Pass (passports are necessary). KwaZulu Natal also boasts the Valley of 1000 Hills, Zulu dancing and township tours for that cultural experience. DIRECTIONS: From Airport N2 freeway North (Stanger) for approx. 25km. Exit 182 (Umhlanga, Mt Edgecombe, Phoenix). Turn right at traffic lights. You are on the M41. Carry on straight towards Durban. The freeway becomes the M4. Travel approx 3km. Take exit (Glen Ashley, Ann Arbor Road). Crossover stop street (Ypsilanti). Turn left at next stop street (Forest Drive). First left into Forest Crescent, No.12. From Town M4 freeway North towards Umhlanga (Stanger) for approx. 12km. Take exit (Glen Ashley, Aubrey Drive). Keep right at fork. At stop street, turn right.
