We offer self-catering accommodation for the holidaymaker, business person or just a weekend getaway. Just walk across the road and savour an uncrowded beach, were you can have a leisurely stroll, a romantic picnic, sunbathe, or a refreshing sundowner. ACCOMMODATIONAll units have been tastefully decorated and we can accommodate a total of fourteen guests. Seaside Cottage 1 Seaside Cottage 1 is a family unit which can accommodate up to six people. The unit has an air-conditioner in the lounge area, as well as in the main bedroom. There is a king size bed in the main bedroom, with a colour TV and two sets of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort, in the open plan lounge area. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is also safe, a colour TV, full DSTV Channels, a DVD player, and a mini hi-fi / radio / CD player. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 1 has a garden with a covered patio area and Webber braai. Seaside Cottage 2 Seaside Cottage 2 can accommodate up to six people. This unit has two bedrooms upstairs, with 2 single beds pushed together to make a king size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. There is a double sleeper couch downstairs. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is a safe, a colour TV, and full DSTV Channels. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 2 has a covered patio area and Webber braai. Seaside Cottage 3 Seaside Cottage 3 can accommodate up to two people. This newly refurbished, quaint unit has aircon, a microwave, bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities, an electric frying pan (by request only), but NO cooking facilities. There is a colour TV with full DSTV. There is a king size bed, and the "bathroom" is a shower, toilet and hand basin. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cabin (Not star graded) Seaside Cabin, is a basic rustic wooden structure with its own private sundeck and sleeps a maximum of 2 people. This unit is our "backpackers" (budget) unit and is suitable for younger or more adventurous guests. The beds are a set of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort. It has tea / coffee facilities, but NO cooking facilities. It has a fan, a microwave and a family size fridge. There is a colored TV with selected DSTV channels. The "bathroom" is a shower, toilet and hand basin. (NOT en-suite) We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Please note that this unit does NOT carry our 4 star self catering rating. FACILITIES & SERVICESWe offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the Cottages/Units are serviced three times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Except public holidays. LOCATION & ATTRACTIONSSeaside Cottage is close to the main access roads, 20 minutes from Durban International Airport, 5 minutes from Point Waterfront, Ushaka Marine World, Suncoast Casino, Durban City Centre, The International Convention Centre (ICC) Umhlanga Village, Umhlanga Ridge Office Park, Gateway Theatre of shopping the 2nd largest in the world and the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, Sibiya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom and 15km from the A1 Grand Prix racetrack. We are in close proximity to a variety of tourist attractions great restaurants and pubs and within walking distance to La Lucia Mall and Virgin Active Gym. Umhlanga Rocks is known internationally as the holiday Mecca of KwaZulu Natal, with its magnificent beaches and friendly locals. KwaZulu Natal has some fantastic Game parks offering safari tours in which you have a chance of seeing Africa’s Big Five. DIRECTIONS: From Airport N2 freeway North (Stanger) for approx. 25km. Exit 182 (Umhlanga, Mt Edgecombe, Phoenix). Turn right at traffic lights. You are on the M41. Carry on straight towards Durban. The freeway becomes the M4. Travel approx 3km. Take exit (Glen Ashley, Ann Arbor Road). Crossover stop street (Ypsilanti). Turn left at next stop street (Forest Drive). First left into Forest Crescent, No.12. From Town M4 freeway North towards Umhlanga (Stanger) for approx. 12km. Take exit (Glen Ashley, Aubrey Drive). Keep right at fork. At stop street, turn right. Pass under bridge. At stop street turn left (Ypsilanti). At next stop street turn right (Ann Arbor). Next stop street, turn left (Forest Drive). First left into Forest Crescent No.12.
