Sherryn and Andre de Villiers welcome you to Napier House B&B, which is conveniently situated for the discerning business person and tourist seeking a centralized locale from which to do business and explore the intriguing city of Durban.

Accommodation


We offer five en-suite bedrooms that are tastefully decorated for your comfort. One room has a double bed and the other four have two twin beds each. A king size bed can be made up in each room if required. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms offering complimentary shampoo, soap and shower gel.

Each room has a remote controlled TV with DSTV as well as M-Net. Internet access available. For those hot summer months in Durban one can be sure to be comfortable in our air conditioned rooms. There is also a tray with tea and coffee facilities as well as a fridge. Each room is also equipped with a hairdryer.

A laundry service is on site at an additional cost. We also have secure onsite parking for approximately eight vehicles, but if you do not have your own vehicle a shuttle service may be arranged to and from the airport or for the surrounding area.

Breakfast


Breakfast may be served in the dining area or enjoyed outside next to the pool. There is a large comfortable lounge in which to relax and enjoy reading the daily newspaper or just laze the morning away next to the pool. We offer the usage of our Weber braai to enjoy during the wonderful summer evenings that Durban always has to offer.

Activities and Attractions


There are numerous attractions and activities in and around Durban. Florida Road is extremely popular and offers a wonderful selection of restaurants to suite everyone's taste buds. There are also a few night clubs for those who enjoy clubbing.

Durban's Golden Mile of beautiful beaches offers safe bathing to bathers and surfers alike. For the ardent gambler you can visit the Sun Coast Casino and try your luck or just enjoy one of the many restaurants in the surrounds. The ever popular uShaka Marine World and Water World is a must see.

For those that love the Arts and Culture you can visit the Durban Playhouse, Catalina and Sneddon theatres and numerous art galleries. Absa Rugby Stadium, Sahara Cricket Stadium and Moses Mabhida Soccer Stadium are all in close proximity as well as the Durban Country Club, Royal Durban Country Club and Beachwood Country Club. The Greyville Race Course is a stones throw away. Durban Botanical Gardens, the oldest in South Africa are definitely worth a visit.

There are also numerous shopping malls to frequent such as Musgrave Shopping Mall, Pavilion and Gateway.

DIRECTIONS:

From South Coast M4
Proceed along M4 towards the City. Look for Che Guevara/Berea glide off. Watch for Moore Road/Berea glide off to the left, take this and you will come to a set of traffic lights 1st set. Continue straight from here and at the 6th set of traffic lights turn right into CLEAVER Road. Follow straight on through a further 3 sets of traffic lights then at the 4th set glide off left into Sydenham Road (John Zikhali). Approximately 30m up Sydenham (John Zikhali) turn Right into Napier Road. The Bed & Breakfast is situated on the left hand side towards the middle of the block and is clearly marked. Please buzz the main house.

From Johannesburg / Pietermaritzburg
Proceed into towards Durban past the Pavilion Shopping complex. Look out for the Brickfield (Felix Dlamini) turn off. The next glide off onto Ridge Road (Peter Mokaba) is the one to take. Follow straight on cross Essenwood Road (Stephen Dlamini) and then Musgrave Road. The following is Currie Road, turn left and proceed to the first stop sign, then turn right into Sydenham Road (John Zikhali). Continue down the hill and take the third street to the left which is NAPIER ROAD. The Bed & Breakfast is situated on the left hand side towards the middle of the block and is clearly marked. Please buzz the main house.

King Shaka International Airport N2 North Coast
Proceed along the N2 South until the sign M19 Umgeni Road exit. Take this off ramp and proceed driving parallel to the N2 to the 2nd set of traffic lights. Turn left along Umgeni Road. Follow through several sets of Traffic lights till you reach Argyle Road (Sandile Thusi), large intersection. Turn right and follow up the hill keeping in the left hand lane till you see the sign Cowey Road (Problem Mkhize). Turn left at this set of lights and continue till you pass a garage and small shopping centre on the right, Cowey Centre. At the next traffic intersection turn right into Sydenham Road (John Zikhali) and 30m up turn immediate right again into Napier Road. Napier House is on the left hand side clearly marked towards the middle of the block and is clearly marked. Please buzz the main house.
