Mount Edgecombe Golf Lodge, the luxury golfing lodge, is situated on the most beautiful and secure Golf Estate in South Africa. Mount Edgecombe was originally part of a sugar estate and mill and even before that (approximately 138 years ago) elephants were reported to have roamed freely on the land where golfers now walk along lush fairways.

Mount Edgecombe Golf Lodge offers the visitor a taste of Colonial Elegance. Its lodge is built along those elegant, colonial lines which remind one of early Africa - without the hardship!

THE LODGE

Situated on the ninth tee of Course One (there are two golf courses at Mount Edgecombe), the Lodge is within walking distance of the Clubhouse and all its facilities. The magnificent, subtropical vegetation allows you to believe that you are in a golfers´paradise - indeed you are! With just six double rooms, guests are ensured of the personalised hospitality of our resident Manager Couple, who will give you their full attention during your stay.

ACCOMMODATION

At Mount Edgecombe Lodge luxury and elegance combine to bring you ease and comfort. All rooms are air-conditioned, equipped with mini bar, satellite television and wall-safe. Our bedrooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable. Twin beds can be arranged to suit couples or single golfers sharing. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, a separate bath and shower, two hand basins, a toilet and bidet. The decor includes a captivating montage of pictures featuring international golfing personalities, wildlife and scenery from the golf course.

Mealtimes are of great importance at Mount Edgecombe Golf Lodge - our cuisine is refreshingly original and waiting to tempt you! Over breakfast we discuss with you your requirements for the rest of the day - your needs becoming ours.

THE AREA

The province of Kwazulu Natal offers the tourist many options. The magnificent white beaches of the Indian Ocean can be enjoyed or trips taken into the nearby Drakensberg Mountains. Driving through sugar cane fields so typical of Kwazulu Natal, the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, Shakaland, Crocodile Creek and Umfolozi Game Park are all within easy reach. Your `non-golfing´ hours could just be full!|

Alternatively, should you require to complete relaxation, a private pool can be enjoyed while two floodlit tennis courts and a squash court are on offer.
