DESCRIPTION:

Manaar House is situated in the beautiful coastal resort town of Umhlanga Rocks in KwaZulu Natal. Guests have the choice of staying in the bed and breakfast or choosing the self catering apartments.

ACCOMMODATION

Bed & Breakfast Double Rooms:
Manaar House is popular with tourists and businessmen alike. The individually decorated double bedrooms offer luxurious and comfortable accommodation with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms are airconditioned with cooling / heating systems that can be individually operated. There is an independent DSTV decoder for satellite TV in each unit (Smart Card provided).

All bedrooms are equipped with telephones and internet facilities. A fan, hairdryer, bar fridge, ice water, tea and coffee facilities are provided in every bedroom. Double / Queensize beds are provided in all the bedrooms. Single beds can be provided on request. All bedrooms have their own private entrance and look onto either the beautiful pool area or onto your own private patio and garden.

Self Catering Apartment
The main self catering unit is built on two levels. Downstairs consists of a lounge, diningroom, kitchen and guest toilet. Upstairs consists of a large airy bedroom with a king size bed and a beautifully appointed full bathroom and toilet. There is also an additional sleeping area upstairs which can be sectioned off. Two single beds can be accommodated in this area as well as a sleeper couch. Off the main bedroom are sliding doors that lead onto a sun drenched upstairs patio with partial sea views.

The entire unit is airconditioned and there are also ceiling fans in the lounge and bedrooms. The kitchen is well appointed and is fully equipped. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave as well as an under counter oven and hob. The unit has two TV sets – one in the lounge and one in the main bedroom as well as a sound system with CD player. There is an independent DSTV decoder for satellite TV in the unit. All apartments are equipped with telephones and internet facilities. Should you wish to spoil yourself, breakfast can be prepared for you. Simply place your order the evening before and your breakfast will be prepared for you at the requested time - all at a reasonable price.

Breakfast

Enjoy a sumptuous English / Continental breakfast which is served either in the dining room or on the enclosed patio overlooking the pool. By prior arrangement, small lunches, dinners and sandwiches can be arranged. A laundry service is available to guests at a small additional cost.

FACILITIES

There is a beautiful swimming pool that is for the exclusive use of guests. Lie by the pool and enjoy a leisurely day in the sun. Relax on comfortable sofas in the shade of the cool patio and enjoy reading your book. Daily newspapers, magazines, books and board games are available. In the evening enjoy a drink at the cozy bar. There is also a barbeque area for those guests wishing to enjoy a lunchtime or evening braai (barbecue). Secure undercover parking is available for guest’s vehicles.

Manaar House is ideally situated and is a five minute drive from Gateway (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere), twenty minutes drive from Durban, the International Conference Centre (I.C.C.) and uShaka Marine World.

Durban International Airport is a twenty minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks. The new Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Centre, offering live shows and trendy restaurants is a five minute drive away from Manaar House. There are several fine restaurants in the village of Umhlanga or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A first world private hospital is situated in Umhlanga. Several world class golf courses including Mount Edgecombe, Zimbali, Durban Country Club, Royal Durban or Windsor are in the immediate vicinity of Manaar House.
