Situated along a quiet coastal village overlooking the Indian Ocean, 30 minutes South of Durban International Airport in KwaZulu Natal, you will find Kalandula Lodge, a unique establishment with the welcoming ambience of a bygone era, when life was slower and simpler, yet providing for all your needs in a modern comfort. We offer upmarket accommodation in a Classic African setting to discerning travellers and businessmen.

Situated in a tranquil, coastal forest, enjoy beautiful sea views and abundant bird life, including Loeries and Malachite Kingfishers, whilst relaxing on the shady, colonial balcony or in the tropical, indigenous garden.

ACCOMMODATION


The Lodge is sited in an indigenous dune forest with sea views, serene and secluded, with an attractive pool and braai area, and space to just relax and soak up the sun, or de-stress from the world's demands! All 6 rooms are unique, air-conditioned with bar fridge, DSTV and hospitality trays. A 2 minute walk to the beach and breakfast is served on the sunrise veranda or over-looking the pool.

BREAKFAST & DINNER


Full English breakfast, including fresh fruit, muesli’s and yoghurts are enjoyed on the balcony or outside by the swimming pool. All diets are fully catered for ie. Vegetarian, Halaal etc. Home cooked dinners are available by prior arrangement.

Kalandula Lodge, with its perfect "Aliwal View" is ideally situated at Clansthal to explore both North and South, with the City delights of Durban just 30 minutes to the North, and all the fun and sun of the South Coast, which include the following:

DIRECTIONS:

From Durban
Travelling south from Durban take the Scottburgh turn off. At the T-junction turn left towards Umkomaas. +/- 3 kms on, you will see the Clansthal turn off. At the Clansthal Turn off, turn left into Palm Kloof Drive and then left again into Finningley Drive. Kalandula Lodge is no. 17 Finningley Drive.
