The reserve is located on the farms Whinestone and Lennox and covers an area of approximately 1650 Ha. The reserve derived its’ name from a hill found on the original farm (Whinestone) meaning “Small Talana”. ACCOMODATIONIngudlane Lodge boasts modern, exquisitely decorated, yet very private self-catering chalets. The chalets are self-catering units with a lounge and kitchen area, two bedrooms, both having en suite bathrooms, one bedroom having a king size double bed, the other two single beds comfortably sleeping four people per chalet. All chalets have Dstv, a mini bar with refreshments and snacks, and the main lodge restaurant and bar is also open 7 days a week inviting guests staying at the chalets to join us for lunch and dinner. If waking up with wildlife on your doorstep appeals to you, then this is the place for your next getaway. We invite you to soak up the warm winter sun on your own private veranda enjoying a typical South African “braai” . MAIN LODGE Sit around our crackling boma fires on winter evenings, discussing the days’ experiences or just snuggling under a rug in one of the cosy lounge areas. Kids can play on the jungle gym, while parents catch up at the pub with friends or watching sport on the numerous big screen TV’s WEDDING VENUEIngudlane Lodge offers a stunning wedding venue, for that ultimate bush wedding. We can accommodate 120 guests. Weddings are a once in a life time occurrence and the venue along with the stunning surroundings are sure to make the most beautiful memories. CONFERENCE VENUEIngudlane Lodge, with it’s relaxed atmosphere, panoramic views, and tranquil setting offers the modern conference facilities for up to 80 people. Company functions, team-building events and year-end functions are a real hit at Ingudlane. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONSEnjoy an exiting game drive through the different scenic terrains, observing a wide range of antelope, giraffe, zebra and scores of species unique to the African bushveld. The reserve is a haven to a number of bird species, making it a bird lover’s paradise. Delight yourself with a relaxing nature walk in the reserve, enjoy a romantic candle-lit dinner in our restaurant, or have a sun downer on the main veranda with sweeping views overlooking the reserve. Day trips to the many closely situated battlefield sites or to the Talana museum can be arranged. For the more adventurous, tackle our guided quad-bike trails. DIRECTIONS: From Durban Take N3 to Johannesburg. Take exit to Ladysmith and follow N11 to Newcastle. Approx 20 km past Ladysmith on N11 take turn right to Dundee on R602 to Dundee. Travel through town and follow R33 direction to Vryheid passing Talana museum on left. About one km from Talana is the turnoff to Ingudlane to your right. From Johannesburg Take N3 to Durban. Take exit from highway at Villiers onto the R103 (goes parallel to highway).Travel approximately 30 minutes then turn left onto R34 to Vrede, Memel then into Newcastle. Follow N11 to Ladysmith, 30km out of Newcastle turn left onto R621 to Dannhauser / Dundee. At Dannhauser turn left to Dundee. Pass Springlake Colliery, Glendee Dam. At T-junction turn left to Dundee. Travel through town and follow R33 direction to Vryheid passing Talana museum on left. About one km from Talana is the turnoff to Ingudlane to your right.
