DESCRIPTION:
Stunning sea and inland views complement the colonial atmosphere of this charming guest lodge, situated in an elevated position above Ramsgate blue flag beach.
Discover this idyllic retreat of casual elegance. Tucked away from the crowds, this character seaside home is a unique hideaway in a beautiful rural setting offering a perfect refuge from day to day stress. Ilanga Ntaba (Sun Mountain) is situated in an elevated vantage point with a stunning view across the lush green treetops of Ramsgate valley and the blue Indian Ocean. A mere 10 minute walk will find you on the main Ramsgate safe swimming beach complete with shark nets, lifeguards and a beautiful tidal pool.
The Lodge is an original farmhouse with the combined charm of Rhodesian teak parquet flooring, lofty ceilings, large rooms and a delightful informal atmosphere. The emphasis is on outdoor living and the spacious sea-facing main verandah is available for the exclusive use of guests to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the lush greens of the valley in contrast to the azure blue of the beautiful ocean view.
ACCOMMODATION
Lodge Rooms
Ilanga Ntaba offers two extremely spacious Lodge rooms, each with a beautiful valley and ocean view. Both have kingsize beds and are delightfully decorated in a relaxed style to enhance the warm and friendly atmosphere of the Lodge. The main verandah is adjacent to these two rooms and Lodge guests often make use of the restful atmosphere and magnificent view to enjoy a sundowner before dinner.
Balcony Rooms
The three balcony rooms are independent from the main Lodge and offer perfect privacy. All with separate entrances and private balconies, the rooms are light, sunny and cheerful with partial sea and garden views from the balconies. The rooms are charming and exude a beach ambiance with a delightful touch of Africa. Choose from either a king, a double or a twin room.
Room Facilities
All rooms have ceiling fans, safes, fridges, comfortable chairs and coffee tables, TVs (M-Net), tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathrooms with showers.
Breakfast
A delicious freshly cooked breakfast from an a la carte menu is served alfresco on the main verandah at your personal table, and is often a leisurely affair as guests take time to admire the unique view that has inspired many visitors before.
Facilities
Enjoy the secluded pool area, surrounded by over an acre of landscaped sub-tropical gardens where guests can just soak up the serene atmosphere amongst the mature palm trees.
The beautiful welcoming guest lounge invites intimate conversation and the summer house in the garden is a favourite for curling up with a good book whilst enjoying the breeze on hot, humid days. A boma braai is available for the use of guests at all times and to sit around the fire under the bright, starry skies at night is an experience to remember.
NEARBY
A choice of quality restaurants are available in the immediate vicinity and Diane is happy to advise and make bookings for your requirements. Ilanga Ntaba is a comfortable haven which is the perfect base to explore all the treasures of the Hibiscus Coast including its selection of top-class golf courses.
This romantic and delightful seaside retreat, renowned for warm hospitality, offers visitors an exceptional bed and breakfast experience. Ilanga Ntaba is truly a special place to discover, enjoy and remember. Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend! |
