This secluded spot provides an ideal get away in a quiet forest garden, only 700 meters from the beach. The décor of the chalets relaxed garden style and lapa, all add to the real African experience. AccommodationWe have seven self catering, four sleeper, two bedroom en-suite chalets. Our Chalets are all double story, with downstairs as well as loft bedrooms with beautiful views of the sloping forest garden. Each chalet is uniquely decorated providing interesting variation. The lounges are furnished with luxury couches, and each chalet is fully equipped with TV, stove, microwave, fridge kettle, toaster and other kitchen utensil. The chalets are serviced six days a week, there is no room service on Sundays, Christmas day and New Years Day. FacilitiesThe chalets face the sloping forest garden, pond and lapa, and this garden setting attracts a remarkable number of birds which is of interest to nature lovers, and provides a haven when the wind is blowing along the beach. Relax on the verandah, indulge in a walk in the lush garden or a take a dip in the pool; however you choose to unwind, Honeywood is the place. The Cellar doubles as reception and breakfast room and opens onto the paved area around the 8x4m pool which is available to guests. A Laundry service is available to guests and we provide secure off road parking on the premises. We regret that no animals are allowed. Dining at HoneywoodThe Cellar is our on-site boutique restaurant at Honeywood. Our chef Dylan Smith, boasting both international and local experience, will tantalise your taste buds like never before with a gastronomically outstanding menu. The Cellar is the perfect venue for small intimate functions as well as romantic dinners. The restaurant can also be booked for business conference lunches. The restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday 6.30pm-9pm and lunch by booking Saturday 12.30 - 2pm. Weddings & FunctionsOur forest lapa, overlooking a small dam, is perfect for small wedding receptions or special celebrations. With the help of our onsite functions coordinator the lapa can be transformed into your dream venue. Small, intimate conferences, private dining and team building are accommodated in the Cellar. Attractions and ActivitiesHoneywood is situated close to all amenities such as the CBD, shopping centers, beaches as well as a number of restaurants. We are within easy driving distance of a number of golf courses, e.g. Port Shepstone, Margate, San Lameer, Port Edward, Selborne Park, and Pennington. DIRECTIONS: Take the N2 and exit at the Port Shepstone North, Umtentweni toll gate. Turn East onto Rethman Drive. At traffic lights turn left onto R102. Pass Caltex garage on left and cross over small river. At next set of traffic lights turn left, keep straight and keep to the centre road when road splits (Abelia Crescent).
