DESCRIPTION:

Situated in the lovely village of Umzumbe with fabulous views, Highseas is an AA approved and Highly Recommended self catering apartment.

Accommodation


Highseas is and upmarket apartment with 3 bedrooms. One bedroom is en-suite and the other two bedrooms have single beds, and are served by a bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. The bedrooms are tastefully furnished and they all have incredible breaker views. One bedroom also looks onto the Umzumbe River and the river wetlands behind.

The living area is open plan; with a marble topped kitchen. There is plenty of cupboard space, with all necessary appliances, including detergents etc. The TV has DSTV, with PVR.

All bedding and towels are supplied, with the exception of swimming towels.
A maid is available, if required, at an additional daily fee.

Facilities


The front veranda is spacious, and has amazing sea and inland views. The swimming pool is directly in front of the veranda, and forms part of the flat. At the back of the flat there is a second veranda, where there is a braai and clothes washing machine.

An outside shower makes it easy to rinse after coming back from the beach. There is a glass topped dining table to use if the weather is bad. Security is good as there is a wall round the property topped by an electric fence. Access is by an electrically operated gate.

Umzumbe


The village of Umzumbe has been described as a well kept secret. It is quiet with no taxies, and just one superette for buying essentials. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded. In the village there is also a small church, and the Pumula Hotel.

For fishermen there are plenty of good rock gullies and the famous Stebel rock for the more ambitious fisherman. Skin diving for crayfish is popular, and for surfers there are excellent waves near the hotel.

Activities


As a golfing getaway this part of the coast offers seven top class courses. Playing one a day makes a splendid weeks break. There is also a mini course at Hibberdene.

Oribi Gorge, with walks, abseiling etc is not too far inland. Lake Eland is on the far side of the gorge with game drives and restaurant. Shelly Centre can be found further down the coast for your shopping. The centre also has cinemas.

Nearby can be found Pure Venom Snake Park, and further down a crocodile farm near Southbroom. As you can see Highseas will offer you and your family a memorable holiday, and you will be made very welcome by Alice & James Dickinson.

DIRECTIONS:

Take the N2 for 90 kms south from Durban.
Take the Hibberdene off-ramp on to the R102.
Travel for 7.6 kms on the R102 towards Port Shepstone.
At the top of the hill turn right and then left over the R102.
The first road left is; "Ladymore Place".
Highseas is no. 236 Green Lane overlooking river and sea.
