DESCRIPTION:

Harrow Hill is an elegantly furnished, English country home; a guesthouse providing bed and breakfast facilities, in a quiet, luxurious and peaceful haven. Harrow Hill is a fully operational farm, and the guesthouse is surrounded by green pastures where cows graze quietly under shady trees.

The guesthouse has large bedrooms with full bathrooms, two guest sitting rooms, interesting books and antiques. Visitors are treated as friends. Harrow Hill is an ideal getaway or stop-over from Gauteng to the coast and is near the N3. Pietermaritzburg is 20 minutes away and the Drakensberg and Durban are within easy reach.

Harrow Hill is situated in the Karkloof Hills close to waterfalls, Midmar Dam, nature reserves, Midlands Meander, Treetop tours, golf and good restaurants.

Accommodation


The guest house comprises 4 double bedrooms with either a queen bed or twin singles. Each room has a full bathroom and separate large shower. There are hair dryers, fans and heaters provided in the rooms. A laundry service is available.

At Harrow Hill Guest Farm you can sit back and relax in our beautiful gardens, do some bird watching, have a game of tennis, or swim in our crystal clear swimming pool.

Harrow Hill Guest Farm is in close proximity to a host of exciting activities to suit the tastes of the whole family. Midmar Dam and Nature Reserve, Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve and Karkloof Falls all provide wonderful days out in the open, with boating, skiing, fishing, game viewing, and picturesque spots for braais and picnics.

The Midlands Meander is the heart of the arts and crafts community of the Midlands and along its trail you will come across artists, potters, restaurants, studios and galleries to mention just a few. Explore the Karkloof indigenous forest from a different angle with Karkloof Canopy Tours whose fabulous canopy tours provide a look at the forest from above.

There are several Golf courses in the area, including Sakabula Golf Club, Howick Golf Course, Victoria Country Club and Boschoek Golf Club. Hiking trails and horse riding can be arranged and of course what better way to see the scenic views than on bike?

From Johannesburg
From the N3 take the 107 off ramp to Howick North. Turn left at the 4th robot into Karkloof Road. The farm is 4km on a tar road from corner in Howick on the right hand side.

From Durban
From the N3 take the 617 off ramp to Howick. When in Howick turn right at 3rd robot into Karkloof Road. The farm is 4 km on a tar road from Howick on the right hand side.
