Greengates Cottage is superbly situated in the old village area of Port Edward, set in a fairytale garden with lovely sea views. This quaint private cottage is 100m from the sea and 100m from the village centre. A 10 minute stroll along the sea front brings you to the main swimming beach and lagoon. Greengates has an excellent layout for two couples and is wonderful for small children and pets. (Pet friendly only by prior arrangement). Accommodation


Greengates Cottage is fully equipped for 4 adults & 2 children, including linen, a colour TV with DSTV (22 channels), DVD player, microwave, large fridge-freezer combination, and a portable braai on the large covered veranda. A lock up garage for one car and single covered carport is provided.

The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms both with double beds, and 2 bathrooms, (one bedroom with en-suite bathroom leads off the veranda), a large open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area, and a large covered veranda provided with patio furniture.

A take-two bed is in the dining area for 2 children. A full security system and safe is provided for the security of both your and our belongings. Items you should remember to take to make your stay more comfortable include: towels, toilet rolls, mosquito pads in summer, charcoal, and of course food. BillsBest Holidays - everything you want !

Activities and Attractions


Port Edward, a vibrant coastal village, 145km south of Durban International Airport offers a lovely, safe lifeguarded beach and also has a registered boat launch site. There are a selection of art galleries, craft, collectable or antique purveyors dotted throughout the area and you can enjoy the extensive selection of restaurants and cafe's.

Port Edward has its own friendly nine hole golf course and there are nine other superb 18-hole golf courses nearby. Four of them; Selborne Country Club, Southbroom Golf Club, San Lameer Country Club and the Wild Coast Country Club are rated in the top 50 golf courses in South Africa. Oribi Gorge Game Reserve is nearby and the Wild Coast Casino is a stone's throw away.

DIRECTIONS:

Take the N-2 South Coast Highway from Durban, past Durban International Airport and travel ± 170 km to Port Edward. Turn left towards the sea at the Port Edward robot. Follow the road going downhill ±1.5km until you reach "The Webb" Pizza Place, on your left. The Post Office will be on your right. (The Spar Supermarket is about 50m further down the road on the left.) Turn right into Harrow Road as you reach "The Webb". Greengates is Lot 191 Harrow Road, and is the second entrance you can drive into on your left. Look for the green sliding gate. (Look for Bill's Best sign).
