We are at the entrance to the Midlands Meander, close to the private schools of Hilton College and St Anne’s and ten minutes’ drive from Howick. The guesthouse makes an ideal stopover for holidaymaker’s en route to the splendid Drakensberg Mountains or Durban’s beautiful beaches, as we are midway between these two major tourist attractions. AccommodationThe self-contained accommodation overlooks the spacious garden, large saltwater pool & country views. There are two family units (sleeping up to 4 persons) and 2 double rooms. These are adjoining and have the advantage of converting to a family unit via an interleading door if required. Tiny Gateside A charming family cottage. Main bedroom has queen bed & the smaller children’s bedroom 2 single beds. A tastefully furnished sitting room with traditional Victorian fireplace leads through to the dining/kitchenette area. The bathroom has shower over bath & there is a lovely private verandah on which to sit & enjoy a meal “alfresco”. Bedrooms come with panel heaters & beds have electric blankets for any chilly evenings. Treetops This is a romantic loft unit with stunning views from the balcony. Totally open plan with a queen & two single beds, lounge / dining / kitchenette area and a bathroom with Victorian bath & separate shower. Big Studio A spacious ground floor unit for two which has twin single beds or if preferred, one king bed. Open plan style with dining / kitchenette / lounge area & cosy gas fireplace. Bathroom ensuite is shower, not bath. Small Studio This is a “room with a view” and is a double bedroom with bathroom ensuite being shower, not bath & separate toilet. An outdoor area to enjoy the views or a braai. Unit FacilitiesEach of the units comes with the following amenities: panel heaters, electric blankets, hairdryers, hospitality fridge, tea trays, DSTV commercial bouquet, wireless internet access and fans. There are information folders giving places of interest, restaurants and activities in the area and there is also a selection of brochures to be found in the hallway of the guesthouse. BreakfastA full health and delicious, traditional English breakfast is served in the conservatory on the deck of the main house. Additional FacilitiesOther conveniences available are a laundry service, braais / barbecues on request, fax facility and all credit cards are accepted. Children are welcome and there are the pool and trampoline to entertain them. Secure parking with own gate access is provided. Come and enjoy a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. |

DIRECTIONS: From the N3, take the Hilton off-ramp (number 94) & turn onto Hilton Avenue heading towards the village (signposted). You will pass Hilton Hotel on the left, a Shell garage on the right & Kwikspar superette on the right. Approximately 200m from the Kwikspar, turn left into Quarry Road.
