The Estuary Country Hotel was originally built in 1941 as a Manor House in the Cape-Dutch style for a wealthy family. It has been cautiously transformed into a beautiful and private Hotel, Restaurant, Spa & conference centre. Its location on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast, near Port Edward and a few sandy steps from the protected Silver Beach make it an ideal base to explore all the area has to offer. Its genuine design and harmony of proportions, immediately reflects the work of a master builder.

ACCOMMODATION

Wake up to the beautiful views of the estuary and the call of our resident Fish Eagle, sounds that are truly Africa. We offer a total of 24 en-suite bedrooms, all air conditioned with private balconies. Relax and unwind in one of our luxurious bedrooms designed with comfort and elegance in mind. Sleep comes easy in one of our sumptuous beds, which we believe to be a very important part of your stay with us.

DINING

Our country styled Fish Eagle Restaurant is well known for its fine cuisine and has become one of the top five dining venues on the South Coast. Our head chef, Kyle Norris is renowned for his ability to produce dishes showing a fusion of flavours, he will take you along an unforgettable taste experience. Our menus emphasise the goodness of fresh, natural foods, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Local produce and seasonal ingredients feature strongly. A superb selection of international and local wines will compliment your meal perfectly.

SPA

The Estuary Country Hotel prides itself in having developed a fully integrated Beauty Spa, managed by an internationally trained highly professional therapist. This tranquil haven offers the guest: massages, body therapies, unisex manicures and pedicures and facial treatments. A two person treatment room is available for partnership treatments as well as a dedicated manicure and pedicure room. The relaxation room is where our hot Jacuzzi bubbles away and loungers invite you to linger a while. For those needing an extra special break, our team has come up with a number of Spa Escape Packages including accommodation and treatments.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

The Estuary Country Hotel offers comfortable naturally lit conference rooms, helping you to focus on business whilst away from the day to day stresses of the workplace. Our different venues can comfortably seat from 15 to 150 delegates. Business services include internet, email and fax facilities, photocopying, secretarial services, safe keeping facilities as well as wake up calls. Our conference co-ordinator will design a package to suit your needs.

On a more romantic note, we will plan your dream wedding. Boasting exquisite sea and estuary views, rolling lawns and beautiful gardens, the hotel provides the perfect setting for the wedding of a lifetime.
