DESCRIPTION:

There are few places left in Africa where it is still possible to try and achieve the elusive and highly desirable goal of symbiosis between man and his environment. In Zululand it is still possible ... Along the coral reefs which flank the Maputoland coastline, inland lakes and estuaries hosting vast numbers of hippopotamus, crocodile and fish; our wildlife heritage is ever increasing due to tourism and the protection of the endangered white and black Rhinoceros.

Emdoneni Lodge and Game Farm in Hluhluwe offers guests intimate and comfortable 3-Star Game Lodge Accommodation in the form of chalets and rondavels, on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, allowing guests to sample the delights of true South African hospitality and cuisine.

Emdoneni Lodge offers guests intimate and comfortable accommodation in Hluhluwe in 26 chalets and 3 rondavels. All the units (chalets and rondavels) are serviced twice daily. Before and after dinner, join us for evening drinks around the fire, at the Boma.

Chalets:
Spacious and elegant chalets with an authentic atmosphere. Twin beds with an en-suite bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities. OR ...
Chalets in a secluded sand forest area. This bush camp has its own boma.

Rondavels:

Executive Suite:

Facilities

The accommodation is enhanced by facilities which encourage our guests to unwind, relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings of one of South Africa's most popular tourist destinations - Northern KwaZulu Natal. Spend a day or two on the premises... enjoy the swimming pool and lapa and have drinks around an open fire. Our restaurant provides excellent traditional South African cuisine - join us for a 3-course dinner (lunch on request). Emdoneni has its very own Cat Rehabilitation Centre which offers guided tours.

Then enjoy the attractions of the area ... with an open vehicle game drive to the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Reserves in search of the Big 5; or go deep sea fishing, take a boat trip on Lake St Lucia, take in some indigenous culture at the Dumazulu Cultural Village ... the options are endless.

Cat Rehabilitation Centre

Join us for an up close and personal tour and learn more about South Africa's endangered wild cat species. Come and be mesmerised by the beauty of the Caracal (Lynx), enchanted by the playful Serval, astonished by the speed and agility of the Cheetah and delighted by the African Wildcat. View and photograph these amazing animals at the Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre. We offer educational tours daily, with feedings during the afternoon tour and an informative talk about the animals and the project by an experienced guide.

The aim of the Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre is to care for wild Cheetahs, Serval Cats, African Wildcats and Caracal (Lynx), which have been orphaned or injured in the wild and are in need of care and rehabilitation. We also intend to breed where possible and release the offspring back into their natural habitat.
