Chillifields B&B is nestled on a hillside on a 10-acre farm which overlooks the beautiful Assagay Valley. The farm is home to a myriad of bird species, so bring along your binoculars and you could well be rewarded with sightings of Long-crested Eagles, Egyptian geese and Purple Tauraco’s to name a few. Chillifields B&B is conveniently situated midway between Pietermaritzburg and Durban, making it the ideal venue from which to explore the Midlands Meander, Valley of 1000 Hills, Durban Beaches, Ushaka Marine World and greater KwaZulu Natal surrounds. We are ideally situated 5 minutes from the center of the rapidly growing Hillcrest area, with its first class restaurants and shopping centers. Chillifields B&B is a 10 min drive from Summerveld and is in close proximity to the Shongweni Polo grounds, which hosts an international polo match every August. AccommodationChillifields B&B has three well appointed suites complete with en-suite bathrooms. Suites can be made up with either Double or Twin beds. Two of the suites have showers en-suite while one suite has a bath en-suite. Each room has a small lounge area with TV and Radio. All rooms are equipped with remote controlled fans and heaters. The rooms are pristine and provide facilities for self-catering if you so wish. Each room has a lovely spotless kitchenette suitable for basic self catering, complete with bar fridge, microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery as well as coffee and tea making facilities. BreakfastWe offer a full English and continental breakfast. This breakfast can be enjoyed either in the dining room or alfresco on the lovely wide veranda stretching the length of the B&B overlooking the beautiful valley and grounds. In addition there is a charming brick braai facility situated at the end of the veranda for your convenience and use. FacilitiesChillifields is strictly a non-smoking establishment. Guests are however welcome to smoke on the wide, sheltered verandah. Should you be in town for a dog or cat show, we do allow pets, but please these are to be kept in a suitable trailer or such, and are not permitted to roam the grounds without a lead. Restaurants NearbyThere are numerous excellent restaurants in the vicinity and we would be more than happy to recommend something suitable for your evening meal. DIRECTIONS: From the N3 take the Shongweni off ramp and proceed toward Hillcrest along Kassier Rd. Pass the Assagay Hotel on your right and cross the R613. Continue down Kassier Rd until you reach Willow Way on the right. We are the first gate on the left in Willow Way. We are next to the Duck and Deck Animal Farm.
