This private destination on a 1600 acre estate enables you to reunite the mind, body and soul, restore the essential "you". Relax and soak up the 270 degree views of the Drakensberg Escarpment. Our prized feature is the world famous Amphitheatre, part of a world heritage site. View the second highest waterfall in the world during the summer; take in the breathtaking sunsets as you sit feet up, wine glass in hand. AccommodationSelf Catering: Comfortable, stone and thatch dwellings. Two cottages, sleeping 8 people apiece fully electrified with 4 bedrooms each, 2 double-bed, 2 bedrooms with single beds, 2 bathrooms in each. All linen, cutlery and crockery provided. Conveniences include an open plan lounge and kitchen area, equipped with an oven, stove, microwave and fridges. Log fire places, and a braai/barbeque facility are there to complete the picture. Patio furniture from which to take in our unique and special environment is there for your comfort. Firewood is available and sold on site. Both cottages enjoy World Class Mountain Views. Thunzi Cottage Thunzi Cottage sleeps 4, has a fully equipped kitchenette with an open plan lounge and dining room with a log fire place to make the room cosy. Queen size double bed with en-suite bathrooms and a braai area off the cottage. Beautiful mountain views from the cottage. Thula Thula Cottage Thula Thula cottage has an en-suite bathroom, a log fireplace and Queen size double bed in the bedroom, as well as an open plan fully equipped kitchenette. Spectacular views of the Amphitheatre and Maluti mountains. Honeymoon privacy? Don't go past this! The Berghouse and Cottages can accommodate 23 guests. Ideal for those who want to rest over for the weekend before or after tackling a walk through this world class geography. Breakfast & DiningBed & Breakfast and dinner is available on request. DIRECTIONS: From Durban: Approximately 3 hours travelling in total, follow the N3 passed the Estcourt Ultra City, turn left after approximately 8kms,left onto the R74, continue through Winterton, then from Bergville continue on this road for approximately 28kms after , turn left at the Northern Berg turn off, continue for 3kms, turn off to the right(well sign-boarded), continue until you get to reception. From Johannesburg: Approximately 3 hours travelling in total, follow the N3 to Harrismith, turn off onto the N5, continue for approximately 5kms, turn off left onto the R712 (Bergville), continue for approximately 8kms , turn left onto the R74, continue down the pass, turn right at the R304 World Heritage(Northern)sign & junction, continue for 3kms, turn off to the right(well sign-boarded), continue until you get to the reception.
