The Wonderwater NG Vaalpark Half Marathon takes place in Sasolburg. The route of this race is circular and after starting at the church on Keiskamma Street heads towards the Vaal River.

The opening kilometers are flat but the section of race through the Wonderwater strip mining section is run on sand road and is fairly demanding. The journey back to the start is challenging.

Walkers are welcome and grand masters and blind runners enjoy free entry.
