Pick ‘n Pay Marathon and Half Marathon

The Pick ‘n Pay Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in Senderwood which is close to Bedfordview in Gauteng.

This is a challenging race with the half marathon run over two laps and the marathon detouring off the second lap twice to make up the additional mileage. The first 10 kilometres is a tough, rolling stretch and the second half of the lap incorporates several small inclines.

If you are training for Comrades the hills and undulations of the Pick ‘n Pay race will give you a good indication of how much more hill training work still needs to be done! This race has been placed in the top 50 best races overall and has been voted the 5th best marathon. Walkers are welcome for the half marathon distance but must complete the course in 2h45.
