This is a circular race with the moderate but scenic course begins inside the Derdepoort Resort. The first stage of the race has a bit of a cross country feel to it with a steady climb starting once the course leaves the resort.

After the seven kilometre mark the race splits in two with the 21.1km runners continuing on an undulating route while the 10km race weaves its way back to the finish at the resort. Walkers are welcome and there is a fun run.


This race is known to be well organised with well stocked watering stations.
