The Sisters with Blisters walk 2009 takes place at the Campus in Bryanston. This annual event has been taking place since 2006 and it aims to raise awareness to the violence and abuse of women and children. It is held in conjunction with the International 16 days of Activism against women and children (25 November to 10 December). But this is a walk with a difference. Participants are encouraged to walk in their stiletto heels in either the 16km or 4km walk. But everyone is encouraged to walk, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends...
Any shoes are also welcome.
