The South African National Community Theatre Association (SANCTA) will be presenting its 29th annual One Act Play Festival at the Wits Downstairs Theatre this July at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.

Each evenings performance consists of 3 plays and commences at 19h30, the plays are from both white and black community theatre groups, English and Afrikaans and cover a wide range of topics such as rural and urban scenarios, modern and even futuristic settings.

The adjudicators this year will be recent Naledi Award winning actors Dorothy Ann Gould and husband Michael Maxwell who both have a solid background in the theatre and performing arts industry.

On Saturday the top three plays will be re-performed with the winners of the 21 categories of awards being announced at the gala award ceremony and cocktail party.
