Yzer Escape provides self-catering accommodation in Yzerfontein which is luxurious, spacious and sleeps a maximum of eight guests. Step outside and you are 100 metres away from a quiet pristine beach that stretches for kilometres to the one side; or follow the footpath on the other side that leads all the way to the harbour.

Self Catering Accommodation

Yzer Escape Holiday Home in Yzerfontein has four bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The fourth separate bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin.

All the rooms are furnished with large King-size or Queen-size beds. All the rooms are ocean and Table Mountain facing, while two of the rooms have a balcony with gorgeous views. Towels and bed linen are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering including a Nespresso coffee machine and an ice machine. The scullery is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There is an open plan living area which has a balcony overlooking the ocean and Table Mountain.

The games room includes a pool table, dartboard, soccer table and a TV with satellite channels. Both the dining room with its huge custom built dining room table and the games room are equipped with wood/coal stoves to take the edge out of those chilly winter evenings.

Outside is a pergola with a double stainless steel braai and ember maker.

Yzerfontein is a small harbour town on the west coast of South Africa. Situated about 80km from the restaurants and hotels in Cape Town, the tranquil coastal village is popular for its beautiful beaches, seasonal wild flowers, renowned fishing opportunities, and its picturesque scenery. Yzerfontein is a fisherman’s dream; famous for its snoek and crayfish.

In addition to fishing, other water sports to be enjoyed including swimming, water skiing, boating, and surfing. Nature lovers will enjoy activities like mountain biking, whale and dolphin spotting in season, bird watching, scenic drives, and day tours to the surrounding areas. During spring, fields of beautiful wild flowers add colour to the area and provide the perfect backdrop for a family or couple photo.
