Waenhuis is an open plan self catering holiday apartment in Nieuwoudtville. The cottage sleeps two guests and is furnished with two single beds. The separate bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin.

The open plan sleeping and kitchen space has two chairs, a bar fridge, microwave, hot plate, crockery and cutlery etc.

Even though small, the apartment is well planned. There is an undercover braai on the stoep.

Experience

There are many historical buildings to view for example the Smuts/Maritz office, the Waenhuis, the Opstal and many more. For the adventurous people, there are also 4x4 routes and hiking routes that can be explored. The seasonal flowers like candlestick lilies and yellow “katstert” flowers are to be seen on these routes. A must to visit is the old graves, the “trapvloer” as well as the fountain and the old tractors. As it is a working sheep farm, sheep shearing during spring (August) and in the autumn is very exciting as well as seeing the dogs in action getting the sheep together. At Gletser is a glacier pavement.
