Whispering Pines Cabin is a tranquil haven with breathtaking views of the majestic mountains surrounding the Ceres Valley. Its vine-covered porch sets the perfect stage for relaxation, where guests can savour sundowners while the mountains glow softly in the pink hues of sunset, or watch the full moon rise over the valley in quiet splendour.

Self-Catering Accommodation

This intimate cabin is nestled within a wildflower meadow bordered by whispering pines, offering sweeping views over apple and pear orchards.

The open-plan layout provides a comfortable retreat for two, featuring a cosy bedroom and sitting area warmed by a fireplace. The private bathroom is elegantly fitted with a separate tub and shower, complete with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and two-plate stove, along with everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals. Guests can dine at the table indoors or enjoy a meal alfresco on the patio. Wi-Fi, a TV with DStv and Netflix, and an electric blanket ensure comfort and convenience throughout the year.

Outside, guests can unwind on the furnished patio, dine under the stars, or make use of the braai facilities. With tranquil garden and mountain views, a private hot tub, and serene natural surroundings, Whispering Pines Cabin offers the perfect escape for rest and romance.

On Site

The farm provides a variety of outdoor experiences including scenic hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing, canoeing, and bird watching. Fairfield is also home to a range of wildlife and indigenous fynbos, along with two friendly resident dogs who make it their mission to greet every guest, and a few gentle horses that add to the farm’s charm.

Location & Attractions

Within a short 10 km radius, guests can enjoy thrilling Ceres Zip Slide Tours, visit seasonal fruit farms, tour the Ceres Fruit Growers Factory, or play a round at the Ceres Golf Club. Scenic drives and day hikes in the surrounding countryside offer even more opportunities to explore.

A little further afield, within 20 to 50 km of the farm, visitors can experience horse riding trails, 4x4 routes, mountain biking adventures, and the Matroosberg Nature Reserve, which offers abseiling, paintball, target shooting, and quad biking. The region is also rich in cultural and leisure activities, including wine tasting, museum visits, and seasonal flower farm tours.
