Westend House is a fabulous self catering home offering accommodation in Kleinemonde, a small village just 15km away from Port Alfred. When staying at Westend House you are in the ideal location for fishing, swimming, boating, bird watching and in general, for a great outdoor experience.

Several private game reserves are within easy reach and Addo Elephant Park is 160km away. The village has a petrol station, a shop, liquor store, bar and restaurant. Port Alfred offers shopping malls and a variety of restaurants and bars.

Self Catering Accommodation

Westend House in Kleinemonde has three spacious bedrooms across two levels, each with its own bathroom. On the main level is the Kingfisher Suite. The large panoramic windows provide stunning views over the estuary and the indigenous forest canopy. The room is furnished with a luxurious extra-length King-size bed, as well as block out curtains for those wanting to sleep in. The large en-suite bathroom is fitted with a double basin, spacious shower and a bath for two with views of the forest and river.

Also located on the main level is the cosy Lourie Room. It is furnished with two three-quarter beds and has a lovely view out over the indigenous garden. The separate bathroom right next door is fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. Its convenient location just down the hall from the Kingfisher Suite makes it perfect for the kids.

Located in the loft area above the main level is the Sunbird's Nest. This bright and spacious area offers the most stunning views over the estuary through the large gabled windows. There are two three-quarter size beds, a TV with satellite channels and a workspace with a large desk. A movable screen divides the living space from the bathroom area. Here you'll find a freestanding bath, a basin and a toilet.

The spacious lounge area has a large Smart TV with satellite channels, Netflix and Showmax, two comfortable couches, lots of cushions and blankets. The reading nook on the top-level invites you to curl up with a book from the extensive library that's provided for guests. There's also a wood-burning stove to keep you warm all winter.

The large farm style kitchen has crockery, cutlery and glassware to host large gatherings… plus all the cooking equipment you'll need to serve up a feast. There's a large fridge, gas stove, double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, steamer and a filter coffee machine. The double ceramic kitchen sink has rainwater and municipal water taps. There's also a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

The indoor dining area can seat ten people comfortably at a large antique oak farm table surrounded by uninterrupted views of the river. This is also a great place to play some of the board games and puzzles provided.

The covered outdoor dining area is the perfect place to braai, eat and entertain with family and friends. The kitchen also opens up to this area through a folding window. So the chef is always part of the party.

The large sweeping wooden viewing deck is the main attraction. Accessed through big glass sliding doors from the lounge, it offers spectacular views over the forest canopy and the estuary below. With ample deck chairs, loungers and cushions provided, all you need to do is get yourself comfortable and soak up the natural beauty.

Free unlimited Wi-Fi can be accessed in all areas. The property is fully fenced, there's an electric remote controlled gate, a garage and secure off-street parking. The alarm system is linked to a security company and has interior and exterior beams.
