Weltevrede Lodge offers Marloth Park accommodation at a self catering retreat in the unspoiled bush. This holiday town is situated in a wildlife conservancy on the southern border of Kruger National Park. Relax in our unique peaceful family getaway destination, with an abundance of bird life and free roaming wildlife.

Self Catering Accommodation

Weltevrede Lodge offers two holiday homes in Marloth Park that can be booked separately or together if you are a very large family wanting exclusive use of the lodge. Both have a distinct theme and are about 400m from the river and the border of the Kruger National Park.

Our charming thatched-roof homes are surrounded by natural vegetation, adding to the bushveld experience. They are free-standing and fully furnished with modern amenities, which offer a home from home comfort. Each has undercover parking, a secure braai area and a splash pool.

On site facilities

There is a communal play area for children to enjoy. We have resident bushbabies on the premises and you are welcome to bring them some bananas and plain yogurt. Game pellets are available for the local bushbuck and other fauna.

The Area

Marloth Park is a holiday town situated in a wildlife conservancy on the southern border of Kruger National Park, along the banks of the Crocodile River. We are close to the Swaziland and Mozambique borders, both of which boast some of the most scenic sightseeing destinations in the area. The weather is warm year-round but reasonably warmer in the summer, when our rain season brings a burst of green to the dull dry bush, and when new offspring are plentiful.

The Big Five is a large house which is decorated to represent the Big Five. It has two big family rooms, with air conditioning upstairs. Both family rooms are furnished with a double bed and two single beds. The air-conditioned room downstairs is furnished with a Queen-sized bed. It also has a small un-air conditioned room furnished with a single bed upstairs. There are two bathrooms, one fitted with a shower toilet and basin and the other fitted with a large bath, toilet and basin. There is also a separate toilet upstairs. The Big Five is equipped with fans, a television with a full satellite package on request and Free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is equipped with a deep freeze, a fridge, a stove, and the necessary appliances and accessories. Linen and bath towels are supplied, please bring own swimming towels. The Big Five has own splash pool and enclosed braai area.

The Four Seasons is a cosy house with four rooms, each room is decorated to represent a season. Two bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and the other two bedrooms are furnished with two single beds. There are also sleeper couches on the landing upstairs. Each of the four bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower toilet and basin. Four Seasons is equipped with fans, air-conditioning, a television with full satellite package on request and Free Wi-Fi. The kitchen is equipped with a deep freeze, a fridge, a stove, and the necessary appliances and accessories. Linen and bath towels are supplied, please bring your own swimming towels.
