Umkhaya Lodge has six self-catering units with high ceilings, open living space, and private patios. Each unit has a double bed and sleeper couch and one of the units, 2 double beds and a sleeper couch, perfect for a family of four to six.

The Lodge offers secure parking, braai facilities and Wi-Fi. The property runs on solar power and the water is locally sourced, so they are totally off-grid.

The lodge is only a short drive from Kosi Bay or Jozi Dam where you can go fishing or a stone throw from numerous other game reserves where you are bound to see the big five. Visit Mavela Walking Safaris, Zulu Croc Reptile Park, DumaZulu Traditional Village, Ithala Game Reserve 4X4 Trails, Bivane 4X4 Trail, Thangami 4X4 Trail and Bivane Dam.

It was a great experience to sleep in the middle of a park Knowing that the big five is nearby! The staff are super sweet and do everything they can to make you feel good. I will definitely come back here again!

The staffs attention to detail and the cleanliness of the grounds and units are exceptional. Everyone working on the property was friendly and dedicated to making our stay comfortable. Gilah arranged a sunset game drive in Manyoni. Very informative and friendly. Encountered 3 lion. Unfortunately the other 4 of the Big Five were hiding..... however game drive was a wonderful experience. Well equipped units with gas supply. Ample space and super comfortable beds for 3 of us. Lodge is easily accessible on good condition dirt roads. Highly recommended for a pure relaxation holiday.
