Recommended route from Johannesburg
Estimated driving time is 7 hours.
Travel to Kuruman via Vryburg (N14).
In Kuruman follow the signs to Hotazel (R31).

After approx. 60km you go over a railway bridge
1km further you turn left onto a gravel road following signs to Van Zylsrus and Kalahari Gemsbok Park. There is a sign for Tswalu at this junction.
After approximately 55km at a farm called Sonstraal turn left following signs to Barton and Tswalu.
Travel approx. 8km and you will see Tswalu’s main entrance on your right.
You will be met at the gate sign posted : “Tswalu Motse”.

Recommended route from Upington (ex Cape Town)
Estimated driving time is 3½ hours.
From Upington take the N14 to Olifantshoek – approx. 165km.

Travel through the town and turn left onto a gravel road following signs to Barton D3332.
Travel for approximately 60km until you reach a four way crossing.
Turn right following signs to Sonstraal.
Travel for 30km which will take you over a mountain pass.
Pass sign posts for “Tswalu Healthcare Centre”; “Tswalu Gosberg Gate Tarkuni” and “Tswalu Admin”.
Travel for a further 3.8km.
You will be met at the gate sign posted : “Tswalu Motse”.

Recommended route from Kimberley
Estimated driving time is 4 hours.
Kimberley Airport – travel on the R31 for 35km to Barkley West.
From Barkley West travel 96 km to Danielskuil.
From Danielskuil travel 71km to Kuruman.
In Kuruman at the first traffic light carry straight on following the signs to Hotazel (R31).
