Magnificent location, with stunning sea views. Very pleasant and helpful management staff. Room nice but a bit scruffy. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful, but barely competent - maybe trainees. Food good. Ridiculously expensive and over-priced wine list. We were unlucky with the choice of days: our one-night stay coincided with a very loud party on the lawn by the bar below our room.

This place is completely run-down and in urgent need for a total revamp. For what is being offered, the rooms are TOTALLY OVERPRICED. No wonder there are very few visitors. We've been caught by flashy advertisements, empty promises and photos that do not reflect reality. The food is far below par to say the least, especially considering their prices. We ordered wine off the wine list, whereafter somebody disappeared with a torch, presumably into the wine cellar for a very long time. Needless to say, they did not have in stock what we ordered. They came out with a warm bottle of Chardonnay, only after we'd already finished our meals! The TV in the room didn't work properly, the toilet handle was broken, etc. etc. We even noticed one of the brick columns at the front verandah, supporting the 2nd storey, is busy collapsing! A disaster waiting to happen. The poor receptionist, who by the way was the only person on duty during our stay, tried her best, but obviously without any support from the owners. There's no way we would recommend this place to anyone. The 4-star rating on the front door is a joke! I'm sure it might have been awarded 20 years ago, but certainly is no longer valid.

World class accomodation with spectacular views

We arrived here in a flood of hospitality and charm. Service and food, care and accommodation are of high standard. This place is an undiscovered spot and possibly one of the nicest sceneries of whole SA.
