A lovely house, with beautiful spaces to entertain and relax in. Our experience with the hosts was really lovely. Even though one was on a cycling tour in Switzerland, she was immediately responsive, pointing us toward her partner in the Cape. I really liked the garden, which is both manicured and somehow wild, with a gorgeous view of the mountains from the braai area. And it's a great braai area, with a central fire pit and very comfortable seating around it. I would 100% recommend you stay at the Purple Dog. Oh, and it's a very short walk to all the cool Greyton coffee shops, restaurants and stores.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Purple Dog. It's a great choice for a stay in Greyton, especially if you want the freedom of staying in a fully equipped home instead of a hotel or guest house. The house is eclectically furnished with amazing local artwork. We particularly enjoyed relaxing on the patio which overlooks the garden. Self check-in was easy and communication from the hosts was excellent at all times.
