The Nightjar can comfortably accommodate up to four guests in two bedrooms. The flat is furnished with antique furniture and has Persian carpets throughout. The first bedroom contains twin ¾ beds, a kitchenette and dining area as well as a separate toilet and basin. The second bedroom contains a double bed. Full DStv is available in both bedrooms. There is a full bathroom with a free-standing bath, shower and toilet. The flat also has a dining area, kitchenette and an under-cover entertainment area which includes a Jetmaster braai. Secure parking for two vehicles is provided. The property is situated right on the river, with a private entrance to the river and private jetty where two boats can be moored.

    Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.

    3D secure is a legislated prerequisite for all online purchases in South Africa.
