About Manor House at Knorhoek Estate
Manor House is located on the mountain slopes at Knorhoek Estate above Sir Lowry's Pass in the Cape Overberg, about fourty minutes drive out of Cape Town. Accommodation is offered for a total of twenty eight guests.
Included in the Helderberg Wine Route, the town of Sir Lowry's Pass has wonderful views over False Bay and the other side of the mountain leads to a beautiful valley home to forests, orchards, fruit, flowers and vineyards.
This historic building, constructed in 1795, holds the distinction of being a national monument.
Accommodation
Manor House at Knorhoek Estate has eight units, some offered on a bed & breakfast basis and the others self catering. The property offers a pool, garden, braai area, childrens play area, room service, secure parking, FREE Wi-Fi and a restaurant.
During loadshedding, The Manor House at Knorhoek does not have a permanent power generator. As a result, guests may experience temporary electricity outages. However, we provide portable lights to ensure your comfort during these times.
Our pool area and gardens may be unavailable at times due to scheduled events and maintenance. While we aim to accommodate all guests, there are occasions when the pool is reserved for specific functions or temporarily closed for maintenance.

A beautiful stay in a wonderful old manor house surrounded by rolling lawns and well-maintained gardens in between horse paddocks, vegetable gardens, bunnies. You're truly out in the countryside but within easy reach of convenient shops, a wide array of restaurants, plenty of activities, and wine farms (Idiom is literally just up the road). Beds are comfy, linen is high quality, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It's important to understand that this is not a full service hotel - the bar (great prices!) closes at 4pm, lunch is limited to toasted sandwiches, rooms are not serviced daily, and the pool area may be hired out for a private party. BUT it's relaxed and easygoing, and great value for money. We had a wonderful stay and I'd happily return, whether to explore the surroundings more or to just relax next to the pool.
