We had a very comfortable room and the meals were well catered. there's an abundance of wild life to see. We really enjoyed waking up to seeing giraffes outside our room.

I booked online and paid deposit on 30 August. I called and queried if payment was needed prior to check in - at which point i requested an invoice with banking details and paid on the 16th of September. also on the 16th of Sept i booked for game drives and archery and paintball by calling Tala, at which point i spoke to the lady at Tala requesting 1 room with a double bed seeting and the other for my two sons sharing - two single beds. upon arrival on the 21st, they couldnt locate payment so i showed them the payment and emailed them the proof. i then went of on the game drive only to get back and be told that there was still a problem with my booking. embarrassing. They then moved us to a different residence Leadwood instead of Mohagany, my sons were placed in a room that was never used before and had open access to the electrical for that house and to top off had a musty dusty smell that left my sons with nasal blockages the next morning. we had to request for a kettle and tea facilities that could be accessed - none was available in the room or in the open area. further to this we had no choice but to drive out a few kms to the restaurant for dinner and lunch yet the venue i had booked had those facilities available as well as a pool. the Leadwood had a non functioning pool. ....we did check out on Sunday after lunch and they used our meal and activity bill to set of the refund for the 2nd night. i did look at mohogany before leaving and it also looks nothing like the website pictures. not even close. the activities are far away and if someone else chooses these, they need to be aware that they need a 4 x 4 or SUV that can handle those roads. the driver/guide was ok/not great and lacked enthusiasm in talking us through the game drive. Richelle after asking me to sort out my refund with SA-Venues and not picking up my payment on the Saturday and having to talk to her manager, she did try to help and eventually things smoothed out. Tala is not a venue i will ever recommend to anyone. The facility and convenience and just overall appearance and presentation with reference to there website needs to seriously be assessed. We had no choice but to spend all R3700 (on food and activities) which was meant to be credited. Thanks for requesting the feedback. we have traveled to many places locally and internationally and this was by far the worst experience.
