I initially booked On Hill but was told renovations will be taking place on the same dates I booked. To my surprised, as I was just in the neighbourhood, came to see and witness a party going on there on Saturday afternoon as opposed to claimed renovations to be taking place. This made me wonder how people in Bloemfontein operates their business. My stay was a very unpleasant one, on Friday the 21st of October the day I checked in at around 17h25, lights went off. I immediately asked the gardener who was on side to check with him on what could be the problem. He told me it was loadshedding which I did not believe and still don't believe. I asked him to assist with the owner's contact numbers, of which he provided. I called and spoke to Puleng the owner, who also said it was loadshedding. I told her that, it can't be possible, as loadshedding will not start almost half an hour in between but from a hour to two and half hours later. Further, that I don't believe it was loadshedding, municipal streetlights were on. How possible then that it was loadshedding. Breakfast was just ordinary breakfast as if we went there to ask for food whilst we paid our hard-earned cash. Breakfast remained the same food that we had on Saturday. The lodge doesn't offer its customers bottled water at least on the rooms. in a nutshell, service was very poor and would never set my foot at the same lodge again. I did not get value for money.
