South Safari Lodge offers bed and breakfast or half-board accommodation in Marloth Park. The wildlife conservancy and holiday town is situated on the southern border of the Kruger National Park. It is a popular stopover for tourists travelling to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland, and Mozambique, offering a chance to spot four of the renowned Big Five.

South Safari Lodge offers accommodation in thatch roofed bungalows. Each bungalow is furnished with either two single beds or a King-size bed. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Each unit features tea / coffee-making facilities, a fridge, air-conditioning, and a private deck with braai facilities to enjoy a sundowner or morning coffee before game drives. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

Attractions

Marloth Park boasts 4 of the Big Five animals, with the exception of the elephant. However, elephants can often be seen splashing about in the Crocodile River that divides Marloth Park from the Kruger National Park. Rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard can be found in Lionspruit, a separate game reserve located within Marloth Park, while other wildlife such as kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, baboon, bushbuck, vervet monkeys, nyala, impala, warthog, and ostrich are free to roam between the units.

An absolutely wonderful weekend breakaway. Rene and staff can be super proud of what they have done at South Safari Lodge. It is a bush breakaway with just that extra bit of luxury to make the stay extremely comfortable. We went during a heat wave with temperatures in the high 40 degrees Celsius and between the AC in the rooms and the swimming pool on your doorstep it was still comfortable and enjoyable. Rene is also a very attentive host that was super efficient with all our requests and it seemed as if nothing we asked where to much for him to arrange. He even surprised us with a bottle of bubbly in the room as well as a few festive balloons at breakfast when he heard that it was my wife's birthday. There where absolutely nothing we could fault during our stay as even when things did go wrong Rene was at hand to communicate the issues at hand and to propose alternatives or timelines. It's also rewarding to be able to wake up in the morning, and to open your door, to be welcomed with Zebra at your doorstep, wildebeest sleeping under the trees and geckos and other wildlife running around. South Safari Lodge is a true gem in Marloth Park and a place that should be visited more than once.
