Santorini Unit J

This was by far one of the worse getaways we've ever had. The lifts in the complex did not work. We had to park vehicles on the ground floor and carry all luggage, food, groceries etc for the weekend up 3 flights of stairs. We then had to go park vehicles on another level. Not to mention then doing the same when we left we had to do the same The unit was terribly unkempt. The en suite shower was horrific with grime on floor and walls and rusted hanging shower accessories. The bathroom itself was dirty behind the door., old and grimy. Whole place was musty. The lounge table was filthy. Pictures were taken. There was one toilet roll in each bathroom with one not even being a full roll, all one ply I must add. 2 clocks on the walls that did not work. The entire unit and bedding etc did not smell fresh and clean, very musty. Usually for the price you pay, most self catering where towels are provided also provide little soaps for basin. Nothing at all but I guess this is not an obligation. I also understand that Dishwasher tablets guests need to provide but usually there are at least 2 to start up and guests buy more. There was nothing. There was a tiny bottle about 50 ml of dishwashing liquid. Thankfully we took our own. The other major problem was the noise and crowds of people partying on the road side in front of unit. We could lean over balcony. This went on the whole afternoon/evening. It got so out of control that there were police arrests etc. Whilst this cannot be controlled by unit agents however when booking this kind of info should be provided so that we can make a informed decision. We rely on agents and booking companies to ensure that guests are made aware of these issues. My last booking was at Glyndale in Uvongo. You cannot even compare both units. Glyndale is like home away from home and more I will send to the other guest for their reviews and their experience
