Very relaxing and peaceful

It was such a nice, peaceful getaway to recharge the batteries. The cottage is beautiful and had everything one could need for an off the grid getaway. The cottage sits in a fully fenced big garden, so the dogs were safe and had loads of space to run around in. We had nice walks to the river where they have setup picnic areas with tables and chairs which is super convenient. I’ll definitely be going back.

There is just so much to appreciate. If you're looking for a breakaway (away from the everyday hustle and bustle) then this kind of stay is for you. There is no electricity - so no Wi-Fi or TV. But the fridge is gas, the stove is gas, there is a braai and 2 built-in fireplace units (lounge & bedroom). There is solar for the lights and hot water and they also can get a fire going for you in the morning to get water hot should the solar fall short in that regard. But we changed up our routine, bathed in the afternoons, and soaked in the beautiful farm life! The cottage is well equipped with all that you could need. I loved our stay and the host is definitely so awesome!
