Oudtshoorn is the largest town in the Klein Karoo, its history a tale of the rise and fall of the ostrich feather industry. It offers the visitor a variety of galleries, guest houses, ostrich farms and wine farms; there is something for everyone to enjoy and soak up in this big sky country with its vast veld and dramatic scenery!
Attractions include the world famous Cango Caves, horse riding, camel riding, ostrich show farms (where you can ride an ostrich), Cango Wildlife Ranch, wild meerkats at Meerkat Adventures, Route 62 - a wonderful scenic route through quaint villages and fabulous scenery and also the longest wine route in South Africa, quad biking, 4x4 driving, climbing, abseiling or even caving, kayaking and The Swartberg Circle Route.
