Review by Sharon Dutton (Gaborone)

We only stayed one night in this beautifully appointed cottage and so wished we could have made it longer. The layout is unusual - two adjoining bedrooms with one shared verandah and a kitchen accessed from the verandah but with pull down blinds, a beautiful swimming pool in a lovely private garden and a view to die for it was perfect for us. The owners couldn't be more welcoming or helpful. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Obiekwa - the cottage is extremely comfortable with spacious, airy rooms and a lovely shady braai patio where we lolled in the shade in between dips in the sparkling pool. And what a view - 180 degrees of exquisite mountains and vineyards! The kitchen is perfectly well equipped for a self-catering weekend away for a family or two couples. The owners were friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive, so we enjoyed our privacy. Close enough to town for easy access, yet far enough away for peace and quiet. We will certainly be back!

This cottage is the perfect getaway for those wanting an upmarket self catering option. It is luxurious yet homely with the most comfortable beds! The owners could not be nicer. They are relaxed, non-intrusive and leave you to swim, chill or just enjoy the breathtaking views of the vineyards and mountains beyond. The town is literally 5 mins walk away with lots of eateries and places to browse and shop. My favorite shop was Still Pure - heavenly products. We are already making plans to return in the cooler months.
