About North Hills Country House
Enjoy your stay in our 160 ha private nature reserve in charming rooms, which come in different themes, sizes and prices.
North Hills Country House, nestled amongst ancient Acacia Trees, lies within the boundaries of Klerksdorp - 10 minutes away from the City centre. Klerksdorp is approximately 190 km from Johannesburg on the N12 down to Kimberley (Treasure Route) where you can find gold mines and diamond fields. There is also an airport in Klerksdorp which is a mere 10km from North Hills. We are only 10 minutes from Matlosana Shopping Mall, private Hospitals and schools, a nice variety of Steakhouses and Fish Restaurants and Rio Casino.
You may see our Arabian Horses enjoying roaming together with the antelopes.
• Game viewing, birdwatching and treespotting are highlights for nature lovers.
• Bushmen-Rock-Art can be seen close by.
• Enjoy our romantic Champagne Trail (approximately 20 minutes) with all its wonderful little corners, which ends at "Sunset Hill", where our guests can enjoy a beautiful highveld sunset (champagne and snacks available on request by prior arrangement).
A huge attraction with our guests are our two rescue wolves, they live in the bush, close to our private cottage - in their own camp with a shelter and a small private dam. They sleep preferably in deep holes they have dug and are very happy animals. They love long walks in the bush on a lead and enjoy the lovely smells of other wild animals.

All our rooms have secure parking. There is an electric gate at the main entrance, offering secure parking. Please phone for the code.

Nature & Adventure
Have a relaxing walk on one of our game trails and spot Impala, red hartebeest, blesbok, duiker, steenbok, fallow deer and springbok - even a leguan, warthog, vervet monkey or tortoise can be seen and hare, spring hare, dassie, squirrel, mongoose and porcupine are around. Our indigenous fauna and flora are home to over 100 different species of birds.
Walk the champagne trail ending @ sunset hill where you can enjoy a romantic sundowner
