On the beautiful farm Beatrix, on the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Eastern Free State you will find Mosamane Guest Lodge offering comfortable accommodation in Rosendal. Mosamane Guest Farm is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge. This traditional farm offers activities such as bee keeping and goats milk and cheese making.

Accommodation

The renovated barn on Mosamane farm was converted into a lodge and can accommodate up to 17 guests. Each room has an en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms, as well as the communal living area have fireplaces and a bunch of wood will be provided each day.

Additional Facilities

There two kitchen / braai and lounge areas, both these new kitchens are fully equipped with fridges, microwave ovens, toasters, cutlery, crockery and more. There is a 2 plate gas stove, but unfortunately no oven.

Activities

Additional activities on Mosamane Guest Farm include two hiking routes, mountain biking, horse riding and bird watching.

The 9km hiking trail takes you over the mountain, into a cave and down into the donga. The 16km mountain biking route takes you to a different part of the farm where you will pass farm animals as well as some small game.

Heavy rain fell and we got stuck on the road leading to the accomodation 4 times. People should be warned if it rains that you need an 4x4 or a Landrover to drive the road.
