An excellent property, large and roomy, well equipped with a nice sitting out area situated on a safe well tended estate with spectacular views of the Drakensbergs including the Amphitheatre itself. A must is to visit the Royal Natal National Park and ensure you walk on the embankment of the pool, the view of the Amphitheatre is magnificent with reflections in the water. Anyway back to the property, would heartily recommend.

We were very impressed with the resort. Besides the magnificent views of the Drakensberg mountains, the cottage we stayed in was clean and modern and well serviced daily. The indigenous gardens were stunning around the resort. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Victor, the guide for the daily walks was a real character and very entertaining! We will certainly plan to come back again soon. Well done to the management of Montusi Mountain Lodge

Beautiful, peaceful and safe area. Resort grounds are lovely, staff friendly and facilities excellent. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Stunning views!

The cottage was comfoirtable, spacious,, and well-equipped, with lots of storage space and beautiful views. On site, the swimming pool and bar were both good. All staff were friendly and helpful. We loved all the on-site hikes in the Montusi booklet; they were well-planned and signposted, without being too easy.

This place is a real gem! Immaculately maintained, friendly, efficient staff and unsurpassed views of the Amphitheatre and surrounds. I cannot recommend Montusi more highly - we are already looking at dates for our next visit. At R600 pppn, this is also value for money! Thank you, Montusi, for a wonderfully relaxing weekend. What an amazing place - self-catering cottages were luxury, well equipped, comfortable and with views to die for. There was lots to do on site and many more hikes nearby. The whole area is well maintained and hosts very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend Montusi to everyone as a 'must visit'. My group certainly felt the same way and we'll all be back.

Had a brilliant 3 day break in the self catering cottages at Montusi Staff are excellent and cottages are clean,fully equipped with amazing views.Highly recommended and will definitely return

Montusi mountain lodge is the best place to de -stress Cottage was absolutely immaculate, couldn't fault it. As always, we will be back.

We have enjoyed staying in the spacious, clean and luxurious private cottage/No 5/. The tranquillity is enchanting. Receptionist /staff have provided a warm yet professional service. We would like to recommend street lights to be installed around the private cottages .We have booked a dinner at the lodge and we were walking to it at 1900 o`clock in an absolute darkness . Otherwise our experience was fantastic. We are going to go again and we are going to recommend it to our friends
