Millpond House offers comfortable accommodation in Clarens. From here you can enjoy the quirky cafes, shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs that Clarens is famous for as well as a host of exciting activities.

The picturesque area has much to offer its guests and is ideally located as a stop over to the popular ski resort in Lesotho as well as only being 17kms away from the Golden Gate National Park.

Accommodation

Choose from our three rooms in the main house or our two deluxe suites in a free standing cottage on the property, each with their own separate entrances.

Double Rooms
The double rooms in the main house each offer a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom; two with a corner bath and a shower and the third with a shower only. The rooms have a small fully equipped kitchenette. All rooms have underfloor heating, a TV, electric blankets and French doors leading out to either a balcony or the garden.

Deluxe Rooms
The deluxe rooms in the separate cottage each have their own entrance and private patio area with gorgeous mountain views. The deluxe rooms have a queen size bed with an electric blanket and an en-suite bathroom with a slipper bath and a shower. Each room has a kitchenette, underfloor heating, a TV and a fireplace.

Breakfast & Dining

Scrumptious, wholesome, country breakfasts are served in the sunny dining room and dinners can be enjoyed at one of the many restaurants in town.

Millpond is a little gem in Clarens. It is tastefully and charmingly decrated, spotlessly clean and the fresh roses in the room show the love and care that Merri takes to make one feel special. I will definately not look for other accommodation when travelling to Clarens again.

From arrival to departure we were treated with the utmost care and special attention. Bianca was the perfect hostess, tending to our every need and whim. The room was outstanding, with luxury plush king size bed, light but warm duvet, electrical blanket, perfect pillows while the room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was bliss, with the underfloor heating, perfect for the -2 degrees we woke up to on Sunday morning. We enjoyed the great fire in the living room where we could relax on soft couches and read books while drinking the complimentary sherry. Breakfast was great! Thank you for a terrific stay, see you again soon!
