We stayed at Madikela and enjoyed a lovely quiet weekend. Although there were a few other vehicles we only bumped into people twice. We stayed in Flinstone which offered a lovely view and was tucked away at the end. Perhaps assistance with luggage when staying as it's a little trek to unit. The walks and jacuzzi were great.

What an amazing stay we had at the Sandstone Cottage. The view is absolutely mind blowing from the stoep. The stars and milky way are so close and clear here, fresh air and truely beautiful African sunsets. The hiking was incredible in the Bushveld among the wildlife. Will definitely visit again soon.

Stayed in Sunbird, it was super clean, enjoyed the jacuzzi, swimming pool, self-game-drive, fish pond/dam and the owners were very welcoming and friendly.

Although the furniture and goods in the chalet are not of high quality, we still had a fabulous time. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Just being in the bushveld surrounded by bushveld sounds is the most amazing experience and I feel a little piece of my soul stayed behind! 😊 If peace and quiet is what you are after, this is the place to go! Thank you!

From the moment you enter the gate you start seeing the beauty of nature and you experience the peace and quiet,,the place is heavenly,clean and well maintained,the heated jacuzzi was very nice with beautiful views of the stars,it's very pivate and secluded you get that feeling of being all alone with nature ,then you open your eyes in the morning to the beautiful view of the bushveld and mountains,while also observing sunrise on the deck and sounds of the birds chirping,the place is a hidden gem it's way better than advertised,fully equiped kitchen,very clean,no bugs or ants,you will not even notice the unit is in nature,it's heavenly,i enjoyed everything,the nature rocks,self game drive,the dam(feeding the fishes),the braai(which is also very clean),everything was a highlight and the price is also reasonable,shout out to Robbie and his family, they really went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant, but words can't describe the place you really have to be there to experience it was amazing!!

We went there for our 21st wedding anniversary. The place was super clean, both the room, equipment and the utensils. The host is such a beautiful soul. We liked the quietness of the place ..."far from the madding crowd". The views of the mountain range in the horizon and the rising sun are amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a blend of bush life and a private hotel life as this falls in-between those two. The heated jacuzzi on the porch was an instant hit with us. ..I enjoyed the many species of birds that visit the veranda in their numbers. Real value for money. please stock up essentials as the next shopping place is a considerable distance

The place is addictive and I wouldn't mind being there every day. Tranquility and authenticity can't be ignored in any description of the lodge.

We had an excellent time! Everything neat and well thought off in the design. Loadshedding - no problem, a gas stove and oven as well as centrally placed lights to be used when the power is off I would like a small table in the bathroom, we used our cooler box to put our toiletries on The bird bath in front of the stoep was amazing! Your view over the escarpment, beautifully and so tranquil The bird songs, visiting Dassies was so nice. That splash pool for us - we used it a lot! Mountain biking and walking was a pleasure - the rock formations amazing. We are a bit unfit = the sand in places in the road tested our skills on the bikes. Loved to see the Zebras, 2 Giraffes, Wildebeests, Impalas and the Kudus

Madikela is an ideal place for a quiet get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The chalets are set well apart for reasonable privacy. They are clean and tidy. Walks through the farm, viewing game and birds was a lovely morning event before breakfast. My wife and I would highly recomend Madikela.

Great place .

We really enjoyed the time we had at Madikela Game Lodge. The facilities, the view, the sunrise, the quietness and the wildlife around the cabin was out of this world. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi with the dassies keeping an eye over us. We will definitely go back, thank you for the excellent experience.

Very relaxing stay. Beautiful setting and lovely outdoor area where one can easily spend all day in the Jacuzzi and on the deck reading a good book.
