Situated within the malaria free Dinokeng Game Reserve, Lookout Safari Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for up to 14 guests in a selection of chalets. Here guests are able to view wildlife such as the Big 5 and various other game.
Self Catering Accommodation
The lodge offers a unique bushveld experience in a choice of self-catering and tented chalets. All the units are furnished with king-size beds or double beds and have en-suite bathrooms, lounges with a TV in each and a braai area and kitchenette fitted with a bar fridge, Snappy Chef induction plate, kettle, cutlery and crockery.
Each chalet features a private Jacuzzi, except for the family chalet which has a private splash pool.

Facilities
The lodge has a communal central entertainment area raised on a high platform with a viewing deck that overlooks the bush and the dam. The entertainment area offers a seating and viewing area, a dining area for 10, a fully equipped kitchen where guests can prepare meals, and a built-in braai. The lounge area features a TV with a selection of DStv channels. Guests can soak up the sun lounging next to the splash pool. The fire pit next to the swimming pool and entertainment area is the ideal place to spend an evening under the stars around a crackling fire.
Activities
Game drives are outsourced, are an optional extra and are approximately two hours long.
The Area
The Dinokeng Game reserve is unique in the sense that it involves private landowners who have agreed to incorporate their land into the game reserve, supported by the government who has funded any infrastructure necessary in its creation. The former farmers benefit by developing tourism facilities on their respective holdings, which is why you can stay at anything from a farmstay to a lodge.

A gem tucked away in the bush. Quiet, secluded and private. All the finishings are beautiful and everything you could possibly need in a self-catering kitchen. The wood-fired hot tub was amazing, and we enjoyed every second of our stay there. Hope to be back soon! A big thank you to Audrey, what a fabulous host!
