Lions Rock Rapids Lodge is one of the highly recommended Hazyview guest houses and provides accommodation in 7 guest rooms for tourists visiting the Panorama Route region.
About Lions Rock Rapids Lodge
Lions Rock River Lodge is a short 10 minute drive from the nearby town of Hazyview in Mpumalanga, and an approximate 4,5hrs drive from Johannesburg. The lodge is ideally located in close proximity to The Kruger National Park, with the closest entrance via Phabeni Gate – a 20 minute drive from the lodge.
Whilst spending time at the lodge, guests are encouraged to enjoy the prolific birdlife, or even partake in a brief hike on the grounds, or enjoy a chilled chardonnay at either the lodges main swimming pool or sitting in comfort at your rooms patio and simply absorbing the magnificent view of the Sabie River Valley.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation is in the form of 4 Twin Suites, 2 Family Suites and 1 Deluxe Family Suite, accommodating up to 18 guests.
All rooms feature an en-suite bathroom, tea / coffee making facility, mini-safe, ceiling fans & heaters and a covered patio with plunge pool and built-in barbeque facility.
There is a swimming pool and a breakfast and bar area.
DINING
There is a restaurant across the road and others within 3 km. Also there are a number of casual meals at local Farm Pubs, coffee shops nearby, and many places to dine in Hazyview just five minutes away.
Attractions
Other nearby attractions can include can include local restaurants in and around Hazyview, quad biking, river rafting, hot air ballooning, Cultural Village, Panorama Route, and much more. Guests are also welcome to take part in a 30 minute tour of the macadamia plantation on the property at a minimal surcharge.

We enjoyed the breakfast area eating whilst listening to the sound of birds and the sound of a flowing river was so good and the food was delicious. The rooms were spacious it’s just that we were not given the room we paid for when we asked we were told it was taken by others but it’s the one we paid for. Overall had a nice experience.
