The lodge itself is stunning. Great location, rooms are big and well equipped. There is a very obvious need for some management presence. Futhi is amazing however she is one person and this glaring obvious by the lack of visibility of staff in the middle of the day when you need something and there is no one to be found. Someone appeared very briefly on Sunday morning and Monday morning at breakfast to ask how we were - sadly that’s not enough. The food was good, authentic with is great. However these is an excessive use of curry powder is everything!! Think the chef needs some guidance and perhaps some training on some new food ideas? We had to cart 5 bags down a sand path on our own with no assistance. There were two other older ladies staying while we were there who had to do 3 trips to their car, with no assistance from anyone. Considering the cost to stay at the lodge, these simple things that I think If were attended to would bring you more repeat business. For this reason we will not be back. The potential is there, don’t waste it. There are many other options in the area.

Although we cut our stay down here by one night, we did enjoy the lodge. The rooms are beautifully situated in the forest. Although an outside jucuzzi is part of the unit, I personally think the expense of installing these could have been better utilized in the unit. A bigger fridge, decent shower caddy and a double basin! Please also make sure ALL the lights along the pathway are working. There were 2 out when we were there and it does create a challenge at night. Thanks to Rob for suggesting unit 7 rather than 5. Although the walk was longer, it was indeed a lot nicer.
