We were looking for a cheap, easy to reach place to spend a few days to relax. The pet friendly Lake St Lucia Lodge offered just that. The setting was perfect. Although the view of the lake was obscured by massive trees, the hippos were not deterred and came through the property every night. They were relaxed and quietly slipped through on their familiar trek to the town. The amenities at the lodge is basic, but comfortable. The hosts were friendly, informative and helpful (even arranging for the box we left behind to be sent to us). We would love to go back, take the family with us, and book all three units.

Amazing tucked away secret garden of peace and tranquility, close to all amenities but not effected by noise. Very comfortable, and the owners are friendly and helpful. Lots to do right on the doorstep!
